Reusing Manual Tensioner

I have full h23a1 block. Does it matter how old it is? Would it fail? Lmk

Should be fine, the bearings in them rarely fail, if you want you can let it sit in some like 0w-20 oil before installing it to be sure it's oiled well. Just make sure to clean all excessive oil off the outside before using it, using a rag.

Thanks mini. Tried researching, I guess it rarely fails indeed since nothing came up. Just wanted to make sure.
