Restore JDM 1-piece Headlights

Hey guys, I have set of JDM 1-piece headlights for the 4th gen and they both have minor scratches and the clearcoat is peeling off and looks pretty tacky... What can I do to restore or refinish these? Anyhelp is appreciated as well as pointing me in the right direction.

TIA

Herb,

I would check up with Engine Land. He is a sponsor here and he restores faded and ugly 1 piece headlights. Send him a PM and maybe he can give you some pointers.

Let us know what you find, too, b/c my 1-piece light on the right is looking bad, now.

if it's the interior then it's probably got some minor cracks in it...which means you should probably just buy some used ones from the junkyard or something or some 1 piece jdm's and do the wet sanding bring them back to new...if you are going to do that, i would definetly wet sand not just polish them, more work but you should be happier with results!

Satan, have you done this? If so, I'll have this done when I have my c/f hood sanded down & re-clearcoated. Shouldn't cost me too much, right?

It looks like I'll have a gang of wetsanding done when my car makes it out to Cali... Anybody have an idea of how much it costs to have wetsanding &/or colorsanding done?

When it comes to my paint, I'm paranoid that I'll mess it up, so I'd just rather trust a professional. In SoCal, it's pretty easy to get a hook-up w/ a body shop...everybody knows somebody in LA.

My dad is a body shop manager here in San Diego. I will ask him how much it costs.
