Restoration

Last night the restoration of my 92Si began. I started pulling a few dents and "fixing" the rear bumper. I got the car from my sister in law who banged it up a bit. The lower part of the rear bumper is broken so I'm going to be doing so modifications. I'm going to put a WWRS kit on with the 3 piece wing. JDM Folding mirrors and headlights, shaved door handles and shave all the seams for the RS kit. Then on the interior I'm getting new carpet getting the seats recovered and all the interior panels (doors, dash, pillars, etc) will be smoothed and painted. Looking for a completion date of January for the exterior and marc***pril for the interior. Custom fiberglass sub enclosure in the spare tire well and custom center dash. If any one has any other suggestions let me know. Oh, also I'm doing all the work myself. If anyone has any of the JDM parts I listed let me know I'm interested especially yellow JDM fogs. Tell me what think,

Thanks,
Josh

The end result is going to be very nice. Good on you for doing it all yourself.

good luck bro, I'm in the middle of my 92si build too. I'ts a good feeling to get things done when it turns out good, and you know that you did it the way you wanted it done.

If I could suggest one thing, if you are going to shave all your door handles, then I would make a manual release somewhere in a secret spot. I have seen too often that people shave there door handles, and either the batt. dies or the door sticks and they don't have any manual release buttons.

Sounds like it should turn out nice. Good choice on the kit. Any ideas on what color you are going to paint the car?

Yeah I planned on the manual release button. The color is a blueish purple with an orange, blue, purple, and white pearls. My family owns a chain of NAPA stores so I just made a custom mix. It looks bright blue in direct sunlight. and purple from the sides. It's also going to have a cf hood with blue and purple pearl coat over it. I'm not shaving the trunk so I'm going to have the release hidden inside there. Also does anyone know if anyone (like Greddy, HKS, Apex-i, etc.) make universal straight through mufflers (without a tip) just say 2.5" pipe out each end. My exhaust idea will need the muffler moved in under the car somewhere instead of under the bumper. Not going to say what though don't want to be copied before I get the time or money to do it. Thanks for all the replies.
