At 110k my bump stops literally crumbled in my hand as I tried to transfer them to the new struts. Just take a look at everything as you take it apart to see if things need to be replaced.

Yes... ruster bolts suck!... When I replaced my suspension, I didn't replace anything else except the actual shock and spring... everything else seems to be holding out fine.
But yah, about the rusted bolt... ruined a perfectly good stock shock because the damn nut at the top of the assembly was rusted and the allen key socket was stripped... had to use a veis grip to get the top mount off =[

I would get the energy suspension bushings for the shocks. They're really not expensive, and they are more durable than the stock rubber. At 170K I can almost guarantee that the bumper stop is completely dead.
The ES Bump stops aren't that bad, but do some research and make sure the ES Bushings are what you want. Some people have had a LOT of alignment issues once they switched to the ES Suspension Bushings. I'd say just stick with the OEM ones. If they've held up for 150k+ miles, why fuk with them now?
