replacing rotors

I need new rotors (specifically front)

What makes more sense, direct replacement drilled and slotted rotors, or AEM big brake kit?

If you suggest direct replacement drilled and slotted rotors, what brand should i go with?

Thanks,

Dylan

I just replaced my rotors with slotted roters from Powerslot and brake pads from AEM. Go to www.preludeparts.com and order them. I think you get a really good deal from them. I have no problems with it and it brakes good.

ac

hope you enjoy them.

dont go with aem...alot of people says that its just garbage...go to www.collettimotorsports.com for brembo blanks...the rotors shouldnt cost you more than $40 per rotor.....they work better.....

is that the same one that is dimple drilling and slotted?....i just want to know the difference between actually drilling all the way and dimple drilling...raceconcept claims that dimple drilling actually cools down faster than drilled all the way...it looks like bs to me but who knows....

i dont' know about that cooling part, it only says that dimple drilling can prevent the rotor from cracking easily which makes sense to me

hey "vile10",

the guy on ebay that you got your rotors from....is his name "woods" or is that his ebay ID?

Is cracking a frequent problem with cross drilled rotors?

On another note, does anyone know what the differences are between the vtech brake system and the SI brake system?

thanks once again,

Dylan

hey there, the Ebay ID is raceconcepts, website is www.raceconcepts.net, the guy's name is Woods, pretty nice guy

and yes, cracking is a common problem of cross drill rotors

i think V-tec's rotors and calipers size are bigger than si's

I have talked to people with powerslots and they either feel no difference or they warp under hard driving. Many of them will reccomend Brembo Blanks for a street car with some real good pads.

I personally will upgrade to Brembo and AEM since I have some slight shaking.
