Removing SRS, aka airbags...

Im getting sparso wheels, and seat in a month. I will have the 4 point harness. I will have to take off the air bag for the wheel. But can I still use only one/ passenger side bag. I am only getting the drivers seat so the passenger will be normal. The harness will hold me in better than anything incase of a crash, but what about the passenger.

I was thinking of taking out the whole srs system, but, Im still thinking about what Im going to do about the passenger side.

My guestion... can you run only passenger bag, without having that SRS light on, and will it work right in a crash.

or do you think I should take it out, its 20 lbs dead weight, and save up for another seat and harness?

SRS light will def. be on. And I am almost 100% sure the SRS computer will not allow the other to function.

Yes, SRS will not work. I have a MOMO wheel on my car and it no longer functions. It's a complete circuit with that system so if one part is disabled it's a no go. You will have to take your dash apart and pull that light so you don't have that annoying light on. And hopefully that wheel has the right connections for your horn to still work but I really doubt it. You're going to have rig your horn system.

And make sure to pull battery cable when you're working on that SRS.

Any questions about doing it PM me, happy to help.
