First remove your air intake pipe.

Remove the piece that goes down to the hole being held down by 3 or 4 10mm bolts.

Turn your wheel all the way to the left to get access to your fender well cover.

Pop the well cover by removing the plastic screws.

Pry the cover to the side to access the resonator and remove the obvious bolts that holds it in place.

There is one bolt that is a B!tch to take off since it is facing the front of the car...it needs a little bit of patience. I think removing the bumper isn't worth it for the value of the mod you are doing. With enough patience you should be able to take it off.

Remove the bottom plastic cover under the car so you have a place to drop the resonator since it wouldn't fit between the tire and bumper.

Drop the resonator down and you're good to go.

Button the car up and enjoy. I hope you are planning to install a CAI where it used to be.

This is all I can remember bud...hope it helped a little bit or at least give you the idea.

Another way is to take off your front bumper, and then remove the resonator. There are a bunch of bolts holding the front bumper on that are visible. Only 4 bolts are difficult to reach without an extension. After you take off the bumper, you will see a black box with tubes around it. Take off 3 screws that are holding it in. Two are visible and one is in the back. Pull the resonator down and out. It will be connected to a butterfly valve (disc/ufo/silver thing) and there will be a black tube connected to it. Cut the tube at close to the valve on the resonator. Either plug that tube up or tie the tube tightly. Put your bumper back on and you are ready to go. It doesn't do much in HP but it gives a somewhat decent growl when revving and at WOT. Check www.ntpog.com and www.hondaprelude.com for more information. NTPOG has the resonator removal with pictures to get you familiar. It's under the DIY Mods. HondaPrelude.Com has a good article on how to remove your front bumper (Check how to install the JDM headlights to remove your bumper). Good luck

There are no butterfly valves on S model Preludes.
