try banging it out with a rubber mallet. It could just be seized with the hub......even if it's not seized you'd still have to bang it out a bit. Once you have to screws off that's usually all it takes. The rears are a bit harder to take out than the front because of that.

Make sure you use something with a soft surface such as a rubber hammer and not a regular hammer or something cuz you'll more than likely damage the rotor somehow.

yeah, use a rubber mallet and tap on the backside of the rotor.... spin it a little and tap again. Just don't hit too hard, and like he said use a RUBBER mallet.

there should be a holes opposite the holes holding the rotor on. try screwing a screw into them and it should pry them off.

^ yep, screw a bolt into the holes (not the screw holes) and it will push the rotor away from the hub.

Wrong fellas, unlike the front rotors, there is nothing behind the rear rotors so if you use the screw trick there is nothing there for the screw to contact and force off the rear rotor. It's just empty space behind there.

You will have to use a rubber mallet and I remember when I was upgrading my rotors, it took a lot of effort to get the rears off. It wasn't just a light tap and few turns of the rotor. I was actually about to give up banging on them when they finally broke loose. I'm sure my neighbors weren't too happy since it was 1:00a.m.

Hey Dave,

Believe it or not I'm on the board Mon-Fri while at work. I just don't find anything that I can contribute to so I rarely post.

Still ludeless, but I still have a large space in my heart for the 4th gen so I can never leave this place.

Saw the pics of your buddies red 4th gen - beautiful!

I'm enjoying modding the MazdaSpeed though so I still have a toy to tinker with.

Did you sell the REX yet?

Mark

You'll have to post some shots of the MazdaSpeed up

No I've not advertised the Rex, she's still in bit whilst I tidy up a few loose ends on her, its funny how she's not bitten me like the lude did... as you say it is a superb motor

Yeah Dave's (yes another one) lude is gorgeous, believe it or not he resprayed the whole car himself
