Removing Prelude Stereo

Hi all,

I've finally got a nice new headunit for the lude, can't wait to fit it. How do I go about removing the old standard casette player, its probably straight 4ward but I just want to check, is it just a case of two flat screwdriver to release the clip and pull 4ward?

Thanks

Dave

The 4th gen install was probably the most simple car install I have ever done. Remove the center console. There are 4 or 5 screws for the front piece on each side and two up above the HU and below the AC controls. One screw on each side for the console that covers the EBrake. Take it all out and then there is 4 screws that hold the HU housing in. Undo those and remove the wire plug from the back and antenna plug. There is one screw, if I remember correctly, on the back of the tape player to hold it in place. Take it out. Lets see......

Install on the HU is just reverse but you have to install the basket first. And I hope you got the wire harness. It makes it soooo much easier. Hope it makes sense.
