My car came with red painted calipers and I want to paint them black. My question is how should I go about removing the old paint? If I used paint thinner, would the new paint still stick?

if the paint was on there good, i would just paint over it. but hey, i am a moron

oh, to my knowledge, if you used paint thinner, as long as it is completely evaporated, then it will not effect the "new" paint at all.

If you use paint thinner, careful around the lil rubber boots.. I wouldnt want those to be damaged by the thinner... Just clean em up with a wire brush and paint em black.. or silver.. whatever.
