removed some parts under the hood that are not needed.

Today I removed my winshield washer system. The tank, motor, and lines that go to the nozzles. I also changed my PCV valve, that prob. had not been changed in forever. I also removed the vacum box that sits under the intake tube. Its the little 3'' by 3'' black box that has a electrical outlet to it. I dont need it anymore though cause I dont have my intake resonater on. The box ativates the butterfly valve on the resonater.

Just wanted to share reply if you have somthing to say or tell me.

I use my squirters quite often...I wouldn't remove them. It's really not gonna make your car faster.

you can remove your cruise control too if you don't use it. mines been removed since accord and lude CC is different. i can live without it and it frees up space under the hood.

the windsheild squirters i could never do without though living in NH. all the spray from cars on the highway in the winter time during some storms, sometimes you have to wash your windows every few miles it gets so bad.

How much does CC weigh?
Edit: My ABS system is calling to be tossed as well. Any suggestions on that? I never drive in the winter, so I don't see it to be too helpful.

CC? A pound or two. The A/C weighed a lot. close to 30 for everything.

do you drive in the rain? It helps in the rain too. I'm not sure how much weight it would take out.

The CC weighs like 2.5lbs, but it just frees up some space.

you could pull your power steering also, but a 3,050lbs car approxtimately with you in it may not be fun without it.

I haven't been able to use my windshield squirters in 3 years.

I think the lines are gunked up, because I can hear the motor running. And yes, fluid is in the tank

I rarely drive in the rain. I'm at school, so I only use my car for work during the summer.

great minds think alike =)

i did these 2 mods about a year ago. when i got my aem cai. I took that vacuum box out cause i didnt need it and then i was like "what else can i take out" and took out the washer system and the AC crap. then my friend and i did the same things to his 300zx TT. I can say that its a pain in the ass durning the winter with those sprayers missing. But when you smoke cigarettes you usually make at least 1 trip to the gas station every day, so that works out. now that im trying to quit, it isnt quite as convenient.
