Removed my Power Steering Belt...

Well i did this and the EGR mod last night before i went to hallsville and i took it out for a test run. The car had a lot more low end and i didnt expect it to do much but i can tell a big difference. It is a hell of a lot harder to turn now but I need the workout so il prolly leave the belt off. Are all the power steering components gonna be ok if i just have the belt removed?? I read some post in the past but im still unsure about all of it. Thanks

it'll be fine, but eventually you'll want to put the belt back on

hrm....maybe i'll try this as my excercise. but then, it'd be embarrasing to be seen in public trying so hard just to move my wheel so i can back out of my parking

how do you take the belt off? Just loosen the belt tensioner, and slide the belt off?

It can't possibly drain too much HP from your engine anyways...

I mean, its easy to turn by hand and pump the fluid, only when you're turning does it put a drag on the engine. At faster speeds power steering assist lessens so the pump doesn't work much going fast either

My belt popped off one time out of town. Once you get going driving is the same. But parking in tight places...is a *****.

I had my belt off forever but with 18's it got old quick. I put it back on. The only thing I miss is for top end runs you can really feel what your car is doing.
