Remove a/c system

Hi

I have a 1992 4th gen JDM 2.2 Vtec track car and i want to completly remove the a/c system as i want to lighten the car as much as possible and to make room in the engine bay for oil cooler and oil filter relocation kit.

What do i need to remove? Is the rad at the very front of the car just an a/c rad?
I also want to remove the cruise control system, will this effect the car in any way?

Any help is appreciated.

Regards
Gary owens

Just out of curiosity why would you remove the cruise control? Is there any large components to that sys?

Remove whatever you want to remove. even the compressor if you want. I know there is a belt number floating around to use if you dont have A/C anymore.

No removing cruise will affect nothing.

I've got an idea, why don't you two just trade cars?

Haha, that would save me the time and trouble of having all my stuff put back in.

Here is the only pic I have taken of my engine bay, its from the wrong side to get a good view of all those parts taken out (i can take more). I am not sure that it made my car faster but my car is pretty quick. also I miss cruise cuz I drive alot of highway, I miss my horn cuz people need to get out of the way. As for AC thats not a big deal in WI, and PS I got used to. Only sucked when I was parking in tight spots.
