Relocating Fuse Box

Well, after removing the cruise control, tiny intake resonator box, and emissions stuff near the power streering container, I'm in the process of relocating my fuse box inside to the passenger side kick panel.

How do u remove the fuse box?
Its hanging in my engine bay, but there are 2 thick wires that I think need to be removed and extended, also there are a bunch of wires from the fuse box going through the firewall. Which I do not know hwo to remove. Is there a big plug on the other side of the firewall?

Thanks in Advance.

Lol
I was just staring at it and was like...

Some people on HT said it was fairly simple. I can't figure out the simple out of all this.

um, you don't remove it. you unscrew the terminals for the power and ground (the wires that need to be extended) and you move it out of the way.

without taking all the wiring out (dash, and everything) you won't be able to remove the fuse box.

i know i have to unscrew the terminals, but the part i dun understand is how to relocate the fusebox so it is inside the passenger kickpanel.

I'm gunna ask some people over at HT, I'll try and make a write up if its not to difficult to do.

^^maybe could be going for a cleaner look in the engine bay........but i mean that fuse box doesn't look like it gets much in the way kinda like the cruise control, intake, etc

yeah i dunno why you would want to relocate either but whatever floats your boat

Just a thought of a less cluttered engine bay. If its too difficult, I'm not going to do it. I found a How-T, which I'll be reading soon to see how hard it actually is to tackle this.

personally, i don't think its worth the hassle of trying to get your ground wires extended, finding a place under your dash for it, then re-running all the other wires for it.

its in a place right now where it's pretty out of the way as it is.

I'm getting ready to relocate my battery to the trunk, so extending the grounds is alrdy a must. I'm also doing a wire tuck, which means i'll alrdy have to rerun some wires, and if its jsut a few more, i'll do it to fully complete a wire tuck. I'll see how this goes.

You don't need to extend the ground wire, you just ground the battery to somewhere in the trunk.

Not sure what you've seen on HT regarding the fusebox, but do a search for user hawkze_2.3 as I know he's relocated the fuse box.

I might be misunderstanding what you’re asking... But on my 96' Si at least you can pull the cover off the bottom of the fuse box and all those wires go into a pair of plugs that you can unclip... Don't know about fitting them back through the firewall though.
