Recently installed my Koni's...

last week i finally installed my Koni Adjustable shocks and Eibach Sportlines, the funny thing is, for some reason, the rear looks lower than the front, now i asked my friend he said the guy who did it, my boy Armando, might have set the rear on the lower perch but the thing is, how? I only saw one place the rear shocks screw into, then i was thinking maybe those silver things the springs were on, are those the perches? how do i set it so that its on the higher perch?? what do i flip that silver thing over?? b/c if thats the perch i am gonna shoot myself, b/c i helped install them... and now i wanna fix it, so the front is on the lower perch and the rear is on the higher perch... am i right? Is that what my friend is talking about when he says perch?
I just wanna make sure that what i am talking about is right before i go back to my friend Armando, and not look like a dope.
...so to sum it all up, are those silver things the springs are on top of the, called the perches, and if so if i turn them around, will it make the rear higher.. since it sorta looks like the rear is higher than the front...??

Thanks for any help!!

i would post a pic but i have no clue, it never works for me, maybe i can e-mail someone on the site and they can post it for me.

Peace,
Jose

yes the silver thing that the spring sits on is the spring perch. you will have to take it out to adjust them. There is a little metal ring that clamps onto the shock...that is what you adjust. (you dont flip the perch around) There should be different notches for each setting. If you want it to be even in front and back, put them both on the middle setting.

i wouldnt recommend putting them on the lowest setting though...but some people have done it.

do you have any pix?

b/c after i read your thread, i went to my car and looked where the shock is, i took a pic too, i am gonna try to show it, i don't see where i can set different settings maybe i am overlooking something, i do however see the silver thing you are talking about... but i don't see where it clamps and i can set the perch height....

i guess i should mention i got them from my friend, he totaled his car and they were like brand new still, he had a 94 VTEC, anyways i don't know maybe he didn't give me all the pieces...
i got the 4 shocks, some screws, washers, these black things, and the knob, oo and of course those silver things...

Peace,
Jose

To go along w/ what H23 said, the lowest perch might tend to give you some problems in the future. From personal experience, riding on the lowest settings will give you a DOPE look, but you'll need camber kits, and you will bottom out more, which is never a good thing. The middle perch setting w/ Neuspeed sports & some 17s is a good looking/good handling setup. Good luck, bro!
