Reccomendations for new headlights?

Hey everyone. I was on my way home from b-ball practice, and I was thinking to myself that it was amazing that my PIAA 9006 bulbs lasted so long. Well, when I got homw I noticed one of them was out.

So, instead of trying to remember what kind of PIAA I had, I'm going to get a new set. Any recomendations? I'm looking for value and performance. I really shouldn't be driving with a headlight out.

THanks

Catz galaxy bulbs are absolutely beautiful. www.autobulbdepot.com will give you a 3-month warranty on them.

Thanks, but $60 each I'll look into those.

Is that what bulbs are going for now? I guess it's been 2 years.

Quality=$$

Anyone mess with CATZ ZETA on a 4G?

I posted everything way back when. You can probably do a search for it. Meanwhile, I'll see where I found some info from.

Thanks. I was just going to post the exact link. I remember in that post saying I was going to try to do the mod when my bulbs burnt out.

I'll go buy some bulbs after work. Can I use a dremel instead of a soldering iron? I haven't looked at your pics yet.

yeah a dremel will work. You don't have to be very precise at all really. The pics aren't mine, they're a link to someone else who did it. It's pretty clear what you need to do once you get a 9006 bulb and a 9005 bulb in front of you.

Yeah, looking at the pics, it seems very simple. Now, if some of my other projects were this easy.

yep i had my PIAA for about 2-3 years with no problems. I replaced them maybe about 6-8 months ago with Polarg plasma bulbs. I like the color of them more than the piaa. The piaa were mostly bright white. The polarg have a slight purplish/violet tint, NOT blue! Actually someone thought i had the real HID in there.

Thanks for the pic.

I think I'm gonna keep it low key and go with pter's setup. Saves money, and keeps me out of trouble.

I'll post pics later.
