Recaro Limited Edition SRDs, BABY!!!!!

Well, after years of waiting, I finally sprung for some new seats, and I went w/ Black Recaro SRD Limited Edition versions (black w/ double red stitching). I know they ain't Brides, but my white a$$ probably wouldn't fit in Brides anyway (Recaro's are engineered w/ European anthropometry in mind, remember). Anyways, I have a question. Speedware motorsports sent me brackets for a 5th Gen, and I was wondering if they'd fit in my 4th Gen... ANYBODY KNOW?

Black Recaros w/ Takata harnesses, BABY!

Nice buy Jason. I have the exact same ones sitting in my basement...just have to buy a car to put them in

I think you'd fit in Brides...I do and I'm fat

Anyways, 5th gen brackets won't work (unless you want to modify them). You'll have to send them back and get some 4th gen specific brackets.

good luck with the seats!

I ordered brackets from Mantary Motorsports that are supposed to be for 4th gen that will fit with recaro seats. I don't know yet though because they are still in the mail...$125 I think.

Nice seats! The look very clean installed and not gaudy and overdone. Post some pics when you get them in.

Will do, bro! I seriously have been holding off on these for years...couldn't wait any longer to seriously spice up the interior, ya know?

Anybody know if it's bad to sit on the seats if their not mounted to anything? I sat on them on the carpet, w/ no sliders or brackets--is this a bad thing to do??

Thanks all!
J

Here's a thought. The female part of the seat belt is on the stock seats themselves. Has anyone put in new seats and kept regular seat belts?

I sat on mine on the carpet too.

You can keep your regular stock seatbelts. On my brackets there's a location to mount the "female" part of the stock set up.
