Rebuilt H22A1?

I need some help... i was wonder if i should rebuilt my engine or Swap for a JDM. I have a 93 VTEC H22A1 about 190k miles on it. How much you guys think will cause to fully rebuilt the engine?

rebuild, prolly cost around 1000, buy the parts online its cheaper

should i buy stock parts or aftermarket ? if i was to buy a higher compression piston will it effect my emssion/smog test? i live in california

It shouldn't mess with emissions stuff, if you want higher compression pistons, you should consider Type-S pistons.

what should i need to for a fully rebuilt engine that will give me a NA power but will pass my emission/smog....by the way i live in california and there smog are really strick.
