Rebuilding H23A got a real important ?

Hello everyone, my first post on preludeonline.com. I have got a question about a 92 lude that my friend just rebuilt. He rebuilt the whole thing just started it up tonight, he started it up and it ran great but then when he tried to put it in gear it wouldnt go in. he rolled it down his drive way and it slipped into second one time. so then he drove it around the block just in second.
When he took the motor out he left the transmission in the engine bay because he couldnt get it loose from the CV joint. so when he put it back in, toward the back of the motor the tranmission would not go together it was cockeyed. so finally after jackin and pushin it went together. now the sucker wont go in gear. any ideas?? thanks for readin this post. jim

well he took the car to have it fixed. said a rivet had popped loose or something and had warped the clutch. he is gonna send clutch back and try and get refund cuase they said it was probably defect. i hope he gets his money back cause it was a 300$ clutch. the clutch he got now is 400$ and is bad as$.it is either in or out no inbetween. a little hard to get used to but it will work. peace jimmy
