Rearview mirror fell off :\

So I'm driving last night and go to flick the mirror because a truck is blinding me and the whole thing comes flying off This thing literally separated right at the window. Looks like it's supposed to be glued on or something. Anyone know? Double sided tape?

just go to walmart or autozone and buy some "rearview mirror glue" we have had to do it several times on the nissan minivan (i think my mom kept on breaking it) and once on the current minivan (a few years back) and it has held.

Mine broke off too, and the rearview mirror repair kits you can get from your local auto store or WalMart didn't work for me either. I ended up getting my hands on some industrial strength superglue and held the thing together with my hands for about 15 minutes for the glue to bond. In fear of it breaking off again, I never adjust the mirror or get close to it anymore.

I've used the repair kits you get at Auto Parts stores and it worked perfectly for me. Just make sure the window and mirror surface is as clean as possible.
