rear speaker fitment. best option?

Need to replace the rear speakers, but I want something that will be a perfect fit in the current cone

Try searching the Car entertainment forums for what ppl have done.

I know there was a thread like this not too long ago in this forum.

i did, and just searched again just to be sure. there's no definitive answer. just alot of complaints of people bought speakers that didnt fit.

the stock ones are ridiculously skinny, i just put some alpine type s' in mine and u have to bend the trunk brackets a little and drill an extra hole but the work really pays off and they sound great with subs

lifting them with a wood ring can help?
maybe it wont look pretty unless you make it with fiberglass or painting them...

I think crutchfield gives you adapters for free. wait you must not have the stock covers.....cause i have stock covers and my kenwoods fit fine.

I have pioneers, thats what it have when I buy it, they have a plastic ring that lift them a litle, but they are free to go... they dont have screws or something to hold them...

For rear speakers anything that has a mounting depth 2"> will fit the rear and for the front you go up to about 2 1/8" so yeah go on Crutchfield.com and look up which speakers fit your ride then head over to onlinecarstereo.com and buy them because its a ****load cheaper then Crutchfield
