Well there isn't much to it, I don't have a specific amount of steps or things to do in order, but pull your seat cushions apart, there are bolts inbetween those. Also check the bottom edge...like pull up the seats as much as you can, i think there are bolts hiding there too.
I took my seats out because I custom mounted a system, i'll post some pics later on if i can

yea, i wanna find someway to custom mount my old Pioneer 6x9's. i hooked em up to my kenwood amp and they sounded freakin awesome, now i want to install em somehow...
system options
Yeah i have a good set of polk 6x9s that i wanted to use, but I just stuck with the 6, or 6.5's...whatever is in the rear deck, i forget...well i upgraded all those speakers...to make a long story short i use the components for the highs (obviously) and the rear deck for the mids-highs (duh), I have two 10s custom mounted where the seats used to be for the bass, oh it kicks ass...

...OMG a Prelude featured in an Import Magazing, quick run to the windows I think, Pigs Are flying!!!!
Gonna get me that mag, and frame that Prelude, I'm crossing my fingers, hoping its a 4th gen!!...
i was playing w/ my amp and i decided to try ripping out the back seat and side panels. pretty easy, except i couldnt figure out how to get the swinging section off or how to take the middle section off.
any tips on removing those?
i took 2 screws from the bottom of the middle section off and loosened it, but then there seemed to be 2 clips higher up that i was scared of breaking, so i didnt try prying them too hard
on the right rear behind the side panel there is this metal box thing that according to hondaautomotiveparts.com is the ABS control unit... if im to fit a custom speaker enclosure there, it'd be necessary to move that to some other location in the car... has anyone done this?
center console has two bolts under the seat cushions cleary visable when cushions are out..and about 6 screws. the top center peice just pops off with alittle preasure..and it hides 2 more screws undernieth it...bam done
don't f with your ABS computor...leave it there. what year is your 4th gen? 95 vtecs came with a center console woofer...you could find that peice at the local junkie and install a 6x9 there..I know I did...brackets and all
from experiance 6x9 tend to have pretty big magnets..not sure you could fit one in those side panels without custom work. even b removeing the ABS computor..it's pretty thin ya know
and putting them in the rear deck might not work either..the magnets will hit your trunk rod springs

Do I unbolt or unscrew anything before? I looked under the bottom of the seats and theres little black clips....hmmm
nope no unbolting yet
squeeze the black tabs, then lift the front of the seat up and out, if you squeeze and the seat don't rise up easily then your tabs are being fussy , apply more presser or use needle nose pliers.
The seat bottoms slide right out, there is one bolt on the drivers side back cushion, clearly visable (10mm or 12mm) at the bottom of the cushion one the lower half is removed.
The passenger side you have to flip down like your gaining access to the trunk you'll see two plastic covers that flip open like gullwing doors to reveil two more 10mm bolts
