Rear Folding Seat Swap

Hey guys,

IIRC correctly, the 92-93 Prelude didn't have 'boot' hole with the folding seat on the passenger side. This was only introduce later in the generation. As anybody did a swap for this? Or am I wrong and all 4th gens have this fold down seat...

if your older prelude did'nt have this, and since you have an extra prelude, it would just be like your EL swap. taking off the backseat is really easy. i'm guessing just install the "newer" one in and you are set.

Yeah, didn't check yet... but I was hoping it had it. Just didn't think it could fold down with that middle piece there.

Nope, it will be fine. BUT... if you have a back that does NOT have the pass through hole, let me know and I may want to take it off your hands

Sure thing... I was planning to do the whole center console swap... (shift boot backwards)

Are you updating to the 94-96 Console or looking for more storage space with the super long 92-93 console that goes all the way to the rear?

Upgrading to the 96 console (for the cup holder)... removing the large center console and selling it eventually.

Just an FYI that my 1992 SI does indeed have the fold down seat... .

Doug, I'll keep you posted on the rear middle console when I complete the swap.
