rear brakes fubar

had to take in my car ('96 si) yesterday when i heard the brakes grinding. i told the service advisor i thought it might be the calipers seizing. a few hours later i get a phone call to inform me that my rear pads are gone and i'm metal-to-metal. "nothin serious, your calipers seem to be just fine," just gotta get new pads and rotors.

fine. ok do it.

long story short, it is ALSO the calipers, and the tech couldnt get the e-brake cable out without cutting the pins. no one has the damn pins in stock, and i'm without a damn car til tuesday.

is it ok to drive without the ebrake cable for a couple days? i spent half the damn day trying to find the calipers, now i dont have enough time to find the pins. (no one seems to have them)

I have a spare set of rear calipers....thats OT though and they are from Jay's old car car (ludehawk) which is now Travis' car....

I would say it's okay as long as you keep it out of the way

if they cut the pins it is on them to pay for them not you.

you should be ok just dont park on an incline and if you have to leave it in gear r the oposite direction the car would roll
