Some of you i know dont like em. but it beats driving almost 2 hours to a track =] (and im broke.)
But.. w/ a 220 pound guy, a vaccume in the trunk and 1/2 a tank of gas i ran 15.31 @ 94.8 mph... that mph sounds a bit high to me =] hehe.. but it said 0-60mph in 6.9 seconds.. i had lots of wheel hop .. i think i can get it down a lot w/ less weight =]
Not to put you down or anything, but that sounds a little bit too fast. And your MPH does sound high. When I had a 15.3, I think my MPH was only like 93, you're near 95. Your 0-60 also sounds a bit too good, with your wheel hop. Are you stock? Sorry, but it does sound like it's a bit off.
oh ya, the MPH is WAY off. at 15.31 i'd expect like 91 to 92mph as you said. I never said its a fail safe way to test 1/4.. but its damn good way to see in the ball park where i'm at.
I have intake/exhuast/re-grinded cams (dont ask, ive been trying to figure out e specs. the guy i bought itfrom had the JG head package on it for a little while, then sold it for alot more then he paid and had re-grinds put in). My plugs are white and there is blow buy in the upper rpm's.. and "slight" detontation.. so i'm guessing im running lean.. which is opposed as most preludes run.. so i'd guess its the cams... im just SPECULATING..i'll find out when i hook up my stoichmeter when i get tax returns (need the money for a pod) but the 1st run i got ALOT of wheel hop.. ran a 15.5 .. 2nd time i launched at about 3500 and the wheel hop was still there, but conciderably better.
either way i think they are a great tool to get your launches down, cuse even if it is off.. if you keep consistantly with those #'s and those #'s go down.. regardless your times getting better... and i used it on a perfectly flat paved road.
I have one of those Apex kamelion gauges that are VERY rare,i think only 300 were made and i dont know how to use it. It also times 0-60 and 1/4, and tells you your rpms in thousands and a bunch of other stuff. ill figure it out, anyone know what gauge im talking about?

nope, but if its accurate, ill think about buying it off you

Haha maybe. But the guy that had it before knew how to use it and he got 6.6 seconds 0-60. Someone also told me that this gauge can also take off your govener

Average of what??? Your MPH is clocked 66feet before the time trap...It is exact!!!
so... basically i COULd take teh Gtech MPH and find out .. knowing that 1320 feet were traveled to reach 94.8 mph... grief i'd have to find out the instantaneous rate of change.. **** calculous. =] so.. find out the rate.. then put that into 66 ft.

I used to have one of those, it is quite accurate, but hard to use. Its the one that wires into your cars comnputer. I used to have the manual in an adobe pdf file, but i think I might have deleted it when I sold it. If I fint it I will get back to you.
