Radio/Electrical Problem

everytime i start the car, i have to hope the radio will work. the past few days its like i hear a relay that clicks on and off about every 10 minutes. The radio works sometimes, then doesnt work other times. I'm sure its no the radio itself because it works fine when it does work. Any ideas? This just pisses me off because i like to listen to the radio and traffic with no radio is not fun at all. I am clueless with this one as well. any help will be much appreciated.

Does everything else work?

I have that problem with my car sometimes. Seems like its the ignition switch. If my radio doesn't work and my gauges don't read anything with the car on, I just move the ignition switch to the "start" position briefly then back to "on." That gets it going. If your car is stick, don't push in the clutch so the starter won't engage (and grind). If your car is auto... I guess you can just turn the car off and then on again unless u want the starter to grind

My cig lighter doesn't work when it happens either.

The ignition switch is the problem. I guess I could fix it if i took it off and took a wire brush to the contacts... You could buy a new one. I think its like $90 from the dealership and not too hard to replace.

And yes, it fixes it all the time
