Radiator question - 92-96 VTEC model

I'm trying to order a spoon radiator cap and they need to know which is the correct cap, F or D type.

The problem is my car is an hour away so I can't check to see who manufactures the radiators. Could one of you with a VTEC prelude tell me who manufactures it?. It should be on the top of the radiator.

Thanks!!!!

Mark

Slow down - There are 2 radiator manufacturers that make our stock radiators. Toyo and Denso. F type cap is for the Toyo while the D type is for the Denso. If you have a Denso - it should be etched on top or the radiator.

Jose, it's just an expression.

Phamine, hopefully the F type will fit my radiator because I already ordered it. I asked you guys because my car is an hour away and I can't look under the hood.

I am just happy I could help. I got the Spoon radiator cap for my Prelude and it was the "F" type... I just took my stock cap and held it up to a picture of the Spoon one and decided which one I needed that way.

Could you do me a favor. I got the radiator cap and took a trip to see my car and I saw that my radiator is made by Denso. I know phamine explained that the D-type fits the Denso and F-type fits the Toyo. Could you please tell me what radiator your F-type fits onto?

The name is etched in white on a little square located on top of the radiator.

R&D told me just to try and fit it onto the radiator but I'm not going to be near the car again for at least another two weeks. I'd rather know for sure and just send it back to them today than wait two weeks to find out it is the wrong one.

Thanks!

Mark

I will try and check this afternoon. I have school all day, but I might be able to make it down to my car to check the radiator. I will post back as soon as I check it.

Thanks, I appreciate it!

The sooner the better just in case I have to send it back today.
