Radiator prob....please help!

Ok, thanks to the unfamous search engine on this website, i was able to do an entire h22a swap into my 92si. now we're all done, however, the radiator wont turn off after we start the car. we unplug the battery, plug it back in and radiator is off. we turn on the motor, it runs, we turn motor off, radiator fan refuses to go off. suggestions....anyone....please.....help me......now....

so to clarify it's not your radiator but the actually the fan it self that won't turn off...correct?

Is it both fans running or just one?

im not sure if this helps but it was probably rigged to run both fans all the time thats how mine is with the turbo . so if u bought it used u should ask the previous owner. they ground it so it keeps the fan on while the car is running .

oh i just read your post again if the fan doesnt go off when u turn the car off then dont worry about what i said lol sorry man but it is an electrical problem it sounds like

How long will the fan stay on? If the motor has been running, the fan will sometimes stay on to continue to help cool the engine even after it is off.

Let it run for about 15 minutes. If it is acting normal, it should go off by that ammount of time.

actually, after we did the swap we started the car for maybe a minute at the most. then we shut it off because it was running str8 off the headers. it stayed on for a REALLY long time until i unhooked the battery. but then(motor is ice cold)....just now i went to the garage, plugged in the battery, keys were still in the ignition in the on position, took em out, radiator fan started up. unhooked battery, plugged it back in, radiator fan off.

hmmm, i'd doubt they'd do that for me here. the guys at the honda dealership over here are kinda stuck up. they'd prob spit on my car then kick a dent in the side.

actually when I had my swap done my mechanic put a relay in to keep the one fan running. He said that it helps out a lot with the motor. If you are facing the engine it is the left fan that runs always. All I know is that there is a way to wire it to run so if you unwire it it would stop i guess. Sorry I couldnt help too much!
