Radiator install help

Hey all,

My radiator has a small crack in the top and is leaking coolent. I searched and found that this seems to be a fairly common problem.
AHHH!!!! Radiator leak. pics

I am going to order this radiator http://www.radiatorexpress.com/produ...aia_id=1170021

I couldn't find a tutorial in my search. Can someone give me a brief runthrough on the steps for installing this radiator? and anything I should watch out for that is known to be tricky about a radiator install?

Thanks, Nick

Getting the right radiator is the most tricky part

I'm not sure about the one at radiator express, but advanced auto and pepboys both have the wrong part number for a 4th gen VTEC. I got mine from radiator.com and was very happy with them.

As far as installing it, its pretty straight forward. Drain, remove bolts, remove hoses, take out radiator, switch fans to the new one, then put everything back together. I would recommend you replace the hoses while you are in there though, as they tend to leak and get brittle as they get older.

Good luck

i dunno if you have a swap but the fans of h23 to h22 rad won't work

but if you haven't changed engines this won't be an issue

Thats interesting. I had the same problem w/ Autozone Napa and Carquest. All those places said that I have a h23 radiator. I actually thought that it was because the owner before me put a h23 setup in my car out of one of his parts cars. The one in my car is actually wider then the radiator listed at those places.

The Autozone H23 radiator fit the fans I have in my car so that could be an option.

The best way to check is to measure the width of the core. The Autozone H23 measures 27.5" the AZ H22 is 26.5" or so.
