radiator fan

i used to own a 3rd gen, its radiator's fan will automatically turn on after i turn off the engine after a long drive

i just noticed that my 4th gen doesn't do that, is it normal for 4th gen or my fan's busted?

My fan hardly ever turns on after I drive. I have never experienced overheating, and I usually run on the cool side. Just watch your water temp gauge, and make sure it never reads more than half full. I think my fan must turn on when I am driving around town, and I just cant notice it due to music, exhaust, etc...

Mine behaves in the same manner as Tylers. I have notice however on Alan's car his fan will turn on with the fan off. If yours is not coming on after driving and your car does not overheat I would not worry.

Was your 3g constantly over heating? The only time on my 4g where the fan turns on with the car off was when my t-stat was busted. Don't worry about it. The fan isn't supposed to come on when the car is shut down.
