lol. They got that "daytime" driving lights.... but I wonder what for?? Prolly to add more weight to their car from the daytime light module, and to take a bit of horse power from their engine.

HEY! Canadians are cool. Daytime running lights are a law in Canada, passed because daytime running lights were deemed much safer, especially due to many areas across in Canada having harsher weather conditions than say half of the more southern states. It's more of a "why not" decison rather than a "why". Canadian government is much more involved in the regulation of industry than the USA.
Also, we have heated leather seats and mirrors (in the SR-V), which isn't found on Si VTEC models as far as I know...
My theory: Choosing SR over Si may have something to do with these minor differences, but I think it also has to do with the naming on the Canadian Honda Civic. The "Sporty" Civic EX is called the Si in Canada, and the US Civic Si (with the 160 horse DOHC VTEC) is named the Civic SiR in Canada. With one of Honda's more common Civic models called an Si, it was more prudent to differentiate the Prelude models.
Biggest reason: I think the name Prelude SR-V is much cooler than Prelude VTEC
