Quick Question...

...I am debating with my friend, he said that there is a tensioner for the alternator and the power steering. Now i am not a brilliant man but I disagreed with him on that one, but he swears he is right and that I don't know what i am talking about.... just for peace of mind, anybody know the deal?

Jose

Other then a pivot bolt and a slider bolt to keep the belt tight, there isn't a tensioner on those accessories. Not like the the timing belt anyway.
Most cars with a serpintine belt have a tensioner, *cough* Camaro *cough* but not the ludes with our dual belt setup.

I hate it when they want to help you do something to your car. Especially when it is a one hand man job.
