quick HID question..

hi recently one of my hid's didnt work anymore... when i turn them on the passenger side barely flickers really dim, but does not turn on... could it be blown? if it was blown would it still flicker>? or is the relay bad? any help would be great.... im not that great at electrical wiring.

Check to see if any of the wires on your passenger side are loose. Sometimes the contacts just gets loose. If all the wiring is in tact, then sounds like your ballast might be dead. If the bulb was blown, it would not flicker at all. Dead ballasts are bad because those are the most expensive piece of the HID systems.

that would mean it would be cheaper to buy a whole new plug and play system? damm that sucks, im already in tooo much debt!! o well ill check tomorrow and hope for the best

It all depends. I think that most replacement ballasts run around $150 - $200 each. A whole new system would be $300 up. Check the wires first to be sure. One time, I tried to turn on my headlights and my driver's side didn't come on at all. I shut off my headlights..checked all the wires, made sure they were all plugged in tight and tried again and it worked fine with no problems since. Hope that's the same issue you are having.
