Question with speedometer cluster conversion...

I have a manual 1993 Prelude VTEC with the regular guages. I just bought a 94-96 style speedo/tach cluster (electro guages) and plan on doing the conversion. Will this be an easy re-wire or? Also, anyone know if I would be able to take it to the Honda Dealership and have them change the mileage on it to the mileage on my current guage cluster? The new one has the digital mileage readout and I was hoping that the dealership would be able to change it to my old cluster's mileage...

Thanks.

My car is a 1993 Manual VTEC.
I'm swapping in a 1995 Manual VTEC Speedo/Tach Cluster.

Will this work?

did you get the inverter with your cluster?, its the little metal box....if not you have to have that..also having the dash harness frmo a 94-up would help, but if not you can hard wire it in, look in the FAQ..peace

So I need a little metal box? Where exactly is that located? Isn't the harness the plug that plugs into the cluster unit? Or is there something else I am going to need as well...?

Since you already have the Guage, you will need the following for an easy swap
1. The inverter box ...little grey box behind the tweeter cover
2. The dashboard wiring harness.
3. The dimmer control box....the one near the clock.

This is the dimmer control

and everything will be plug and play

just called the DMV and the lead guy for the criminal investigation for odometer fraud gave me these guys number.

http://www.carradio.com/speedometers/speedometer.html

they said they might be able to do it but it would be at the cost of about 150+ dollars?

does that sound right? also i'm prolly just going to install it and when i go to sell the car in 20 years just say its not the actualy millage.
