Question for short ram intake owners...

I just purchased a Ractive short ram intake for my 4th Gen. There is something that I do not understand. They provided a bracket to mount it, but I do not see where this bracket can possibly go. I went ahead and installed the intake, but I don't know where to put this bracket. There is no place on the intake tube to attach it and it's not welded on either. Is it because it's not a major brand like AEM or Injen that it's like that?

Well it's very loose in there without anything else attached to it. If that's the case I will ask them to exchange it, cause that's crap.

one end of the bracket goes in between the filter and the ss band clamp, then other end you have to bend and make it fit.. thats how most ebay intakes are as well.. im assuming this is kinda like what you have.. its pretty easy.

There is also a pipe or tube coming out of my Iceman SRI. Does it have to hooked up to anything because I couldn't find anything to connect it to.

i will tel you how to do it. this installation can only be done by a professional. go to your nearest specialty hardware store and buy one package of each: duck tape and quick ties. then rig it up!

seriously, i would imagine that it would have to be attached somehoe to the engine to allow for movement of the intake and the motor moves

Well what I did tonight was bend the bracket that came with it and I made it bolt up to where the vacuum hose box (I think that's what it's called) was located when the stock intake was on. Soon I will need to weld something so while I have the welder with me I will weld a real bracket onto the intake tube.
