question bout h22

hey. i have a 93 vtec prelude and it has 130k miles which really isnt much but my car has been raped all its life. it burns like 1 quart a week... not sure why cuz i ran compression test and it was like 220-236 all the way across. any way, my point is... i was wondering if i were to buy a new engine in the future, would the jdm just swap in without any new parts... (not saying i wouldnt buy other parts like a new tranny, but would it work?)
aiight,
thanks,
nate

your compression is likely that high from exensive carbon and oil buildup in the cylinder...

You can swap in a JDM no problem...just swap on your USDM External Coil distributor to make life easy.

You valve seals could also be leaking.......that would cause oil burning and excelent compression would remain in the cylinders.

i would probably have the head reworked ,cause if your valve seals are leaking that usually means that your valve guides are bad too. as for jdm swap you will have to make sure that your fuel injectors are the right impedance.i did a jdm h22a swap in my 94 and the injectors that came on the motor were 12 ohm injectors ,but my stock injector driver and resister were for 2.5 ohm injectors .so i reused my stock injectors .
