question on ABS

ok well i was joking around on sat. and i did 2 burn outs and then out of the blue my ABS light turn on. well it stay on for a while and then i just turned off my car and turned it back on and the light went away. well that same day and yesterday the light came on again. i would just turn off the car and turn it back on it will go away. my break is good. and all my stuff looks normal and toped off with whatever goes in it. what could that light mean?

did you mean your brakes are good? Anyway, how did you do the burnouts? Did you "power brake" Because if you were on the brakepedal at all while the front tires were spinning you probably scared the piss out of you ABS system.

or if you had the handbrake up, it will disable it but since it has come on again, I would check the code it's throwing - do this by jumpering the blue diagnostic connector behind the radio..

Yeah, check the code, because it's not an intermittant failure (a one time oopsy- reset it and it's gone). You fuxord something when messin' around.

My guess is a wheel speed sensor, those things are made of glass.

I was gonna say the same, it could even just have disconnected itself or was already on it's way out and you just killed it off quicker
