I have heard it gives an 'exra' 15-20hp, but also gives you a "shaky" (unbalanced...) idle and can result in a premature engine failure. But some people have done it with no problem...
Man, I've got the E.S. motor mount inserts.. it's already really shaky.. and I want a smooth running car, which is why I'm going JUN on most internals... power but not too crappy feeling, smooth idle and acceleration, so I think I'll stay away from taking them out when i do my build.

I'm like you, when I build this thing I want it all to run like it did brand new, perfectly smooth.
search for more information on this. This topic has been covered so many times that I highly doubt any new information will come of asking the question again.
Yeah, You really need to get used to using the search button.
But yeah, I want to build a car that will not only run like new, but that will run like it SHOULD have run new.
If you remove them, you have to plug the oil passages or your going to lose oil pressure..
I doubt removing them is going to make it vibrate that much more if you already have aftermarket mounts..
Pre-mature engine failure? People just cut the belt and leave them in there with no problems..
If you're in there, there's really no reason not to remove them..
Jun is a Japanese Aftermarket Auto Company. They make really nice parts, but you have to pay for them.. Can't believe you haven't heard of them.. =-O
