I'm replacing my radiator because it's cracked and leaking. Do I just need to drain coolant from the radiator, put the new one in, and then fill it up? Or do I need to drain using the drain bolt on the block also?

just drain the coolant from the radiator... I would also recommend replacing the Thermostat and top and bottom radiator hoses if you havn't done so... saves a few things on maintenance and simple to do... just spray WD-40
and buy 2 gallons of coolant also.. when I replaced my radiator hoses and thermostat.. it a little more than a gallon coolant to fill..

Yeah, you don't have to do the block. But if you want to get more of the old crap out, circulate some water throught the system (fill, turn on car until fans come on and idle for a couple minutes) and drain again before taking the radiator out. Then put the new one it with 50/50 coolant mix.
