i just switched from intrax to h&r sport springs and in the front of the car i have about a 3 finger gap and in the rear i have about a 1 1/2 finer gap. is this right? my intrax were a lot lower in the front and now my car looks lifted. it also squeaks very bad in the rear. are the springs going to settle a little lower after time? please help me this is weird.
ok now i have noticed that my drivers side is a little lower than my passangers side. anybody have an idea of why that might be? and my drivers side rear is squeaking and the passenger side rear is making a really bad metal on metal sound when i go over bumps. can someone PLEASE PLEASE help me! i post on here a lot and it seems like nobody ever gives me any imput, it would be much appreciated. grant
are you sure you installed them right? sounds like you failed to line up the perch notch on one coil which is why it may be higher? The meteal on metal is no good, if you over torqued your bolts you might get that, also if you have a cheap strut brace it could be loose causing the knock sound.
no i did not do this myself. i have had intrax springs with tokico blue shocks for a while and it rode horrible. i had a shop install the springs. the uneven thing isnt really bothering me. its not very noticable but the noise is. it doesnt even sound like its coming from the strut. whenever i hit a bump it sounds like metal is hitting metal but whenever i bounce the back up and down it doesnt make the noise. so im not sure if it is the strut assembly. the shop who installed my first set of springs installed these and im pretty sure they did it right. The ride is beyond great compared to what it was, the noise is just annoying.

take it back to where you got them installed and have them tell you what is wrong. if they caused the problem they should fix it for you.
ok i went back to the place who put the springs on. The guy said that the springs were different lengths and the old ones were all the same length. he said he would look at it and when he got done he told me that the only thing he noticed is the rear spring was not in its seat but he said that when the car is lifted up the spring is loose and the only time they have pressure on them is when the car is completely on the ground. He said he fixed it and it seemed ok so i drove back home then i took my car to a place to get my new tires put on. after that right before i got home i noticed the noise is coming back. i dunno what to do. Its soooooo annoying! anybody got an idea of what is going on here?

the long springs go in the rear. maybe you have shock knock?
I just looked at the springs and they put the fronts on the back and the back springs on the front. What a bunch of f#ckin retards! they better fix it for free or else im gonna go ape **** on them!!

I'd go back to get it fixed, then never step foot in their shop again.

What retards! I can't help you on the shock knock problem because I dont have it. As far as the squeaking, can you isolate where it is coming from?
Wow...people are idiots. It says right in the instructions, the long ones go in the back. I'd never go back to that place for anything. Not sure why they'd be squeeking...the knocking, there may possibly be something loose. My car was knocking in the rear when I'd go over a bump. Turned out my Rear Strut Tower bar wasn't tightetend all the way and was making the thumping sound.

well i believe the guy said the sqeakiong in the front was from the control arm bushing or maybe he said the ball joint bushing. and the rear well im not really sure. got any ideas of what it could be? ohh yeah i made a lil mistake of not giving them the little sheet that said which went on fron and which went on the back...my bad i guess.

you can replace all the bushings if you want. they are rubber and start to deteriorate over time but most people don't think it is worth the pain and effort.
