Question about h22 swap

hey, i have a quick question and was thinking some of you would help me out. my case is that i have a 96 prelude si with a blown h23. im plainning to do a h22 swap but i dont know what to do because i have the OBDll 4th gen. would it be best to swap a 97+ motor and ecu? would that work? any suggestion?

you could do two things.

OBDII --> OBDI conversion

or

use a 96+ 5speed ecu. Although I don't have the swap done, I would recommend the conversion as it isnt hard.

well if we was to convert it to OBDl i wouldnt pass inspection because of the NYS laws. so its leaves me with the choice of buying a h22a2 and 97-01 ecu?

just get a JDM H22 from a 5th gen... any place you buy it from should be able to get that.

i know for a fact that HMotorsOnline.com can get JDM 5th gen motors... might want to contact them.
