question about gauges....

I am looking to buy a/f guage and oil press. gauge with my VAFC.

For the oil gauge is mechanical better or electric?

Also, my gauge pod is aprox. 2 1/8 inches in diameter. What is the correct size for the gauge I should get?

And where would be the best place to get gauges?
I have tried

I would say electric. My guess is you want to have the gauge inside the car. I wouldnt want to have to run oil lines into the cabin. If you are going to put the gauge under the hood the mechanical is fine.

I would go with electrical as B2K recommended. Running an oil line into the cabin just brings up bad situations in my mind. The electrical will cost more, but you wont have to deal with oil all over the place in the event of a line failure.

With the electrical guage it may or may not come with the sending unit. To install you tap your oil system, and install the pressure sending unit, then you run the wires from the sending unti into the cabin, and hook them up to the guage.

Here we go....

Autometer A piller pod, with A/F, Oil Temp guages (phantom). Great shape $80

His email is kegmaster@aol.com . He's a good guy, I know him locally. Just need to make sure he kept the sending units because his car got totaled.
