putting 5th gen rims on a 4th gen would probibly be pretty difficult and is not possible without major modifications. 5th gens have a 5 bolt pattern while our 4th gens have a 4 bolt pattern (4x114).

as for sponsorship, i don't know anything about it. i'd assume if you prove to a shop/manufacturer that you are interested in dropping a lot of cash on your ride they might give you price breaks or something. start emailing places you think you would like sponsorship from and ask them how they decide on sponsorship.

Well there are a number of things you need to do in order to get sponsored:

1) Set up a proposal. Let a company know what they will gain from sponsoring you.

2) Go to manufacturers websites. Look for what their requirements are.

3) Build your car so that it is rather fast or would make it a show winner (or in the running).

4) Look for the booth at events from the organization putting on a race or show (IDRC, BOI, HIN, etc.). They almost always have contingency awards. It is an easy way to win more money and prizes (equipment).

5) Get to know the owner of a shop and or a manufacturer or the managers. Know when a part is being developed for your car and ask to have your car be their guine pig. If you know the shop/manufacturer owner well then you will get the "hook up".

Those are the easiest ways. There are others. But to be sponsored just takes a lot of work and effort. Continue to follow up. Show the sponsor how your being sponsored will help them grow their business, gain visibility, or improve their image.

I hope that helps,
ScHeL
