Q for those who did a center console conversion

So I have a 93 and i'm about to switch over to the 94-96 center console. My question is did you guys use the mirror control in the center piece or just replace it with another switch? I was thinking about rewiring mine so that I could use the mirror control in the middle, but then I would have to get a new drivers side control panel. I guess i'm just looking for cool ideas on what to do there.

Eventually when I get my leather inserts I will be buying the 94+ ones so I can get rid of the mirror switch but until then I am not going to bother runing the wiring for the console switch to work. You could always do something else there like make an adapter plate to stick a push start button there or something.

i didnt worry about it. yeah, there's 2 mirror controls in the car, no ones gonna notice.

also, doing the ebrake is not what i'd consider easy. just research the swap.

Ive got a totaled 93 prelude and just now got a 94, the console is about the only difference Ive noticed.... the console swap looks to me like it would be alot of work for such a small change. esp the e-brake that rayslude mentioned... Im not to sure as to if it just a difference bracket or if youll have to start drilling/fabricating. Would do alot of research before I started the swap if I were you

If you have some common sense and are decent with tools you can get it done without any real problems just make sure you get the self tapping screws for metal. The hardest part of putting the E-Brake in is the measurements and getting it to sit right. Read the write-up like rayslude said its fairly simple and straightforward just make sure you have everything before you start so you dont end up without an ebrake for too long.

I'm pretty confident about doing the ebrake swap/mounting, I just wanted to see if anyone else had done anything about having 2 mirror controls. After re-wiring my whole audio system(all the stock wiring is gone now) i'm not really too worried about wiring anything else up. Though at this point i'm thinking of just putting in a big rocker switch there for the interior leds. Also, unrelated but, how hard is it to put in the front lower strut bar and rear upper strut bar? I should have some Megan Racing ones come in this week, and i'm thinking it shouldnt be any harder than the front upper but it's always good to get some input.

not hard at all, the lower is a little more involved, but still not difficult
