Put it in Reverse and I get Engine Malfunction...

I put it in Reverse and I get Engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp, I reset my ecu after I looked over everything and the lamp didnt come back on.

I drive for a while, park it at the mall, get back in an hour later and reverse out of the spot, drive home, go to reverse it into a parking spot and boom (no actual sound) my lamp comes back on.

I feel like I am over reving it in reverse when it comes on, but no higher then 3500RPMs. If I reset it again I imagine it will go away, but what is the deal? I have to over rev cause parellel parking on hills sucks. Thanks in advance.

Oh and it doesnt come on when I reverse on flat land.... only on hills.

haha, sounds like a bad wire or somthing. Check the engine code. Jumper the ecu jumpers and it will tell you whats wrong.
