Pump the brakes and idle goes up?

WTH is up with this I cant find anything using search. 1993 Si w/F22B.
Idle goes up from 750 to 1500 when I pump the brakes? As though you are giving it gas.
We noticed this when checking the brakes which after applying begin sinking to the bottom (foot pedal) after a few seconds. The ABS light is giving the code for relay. Is this causing any of this.

If you pump the brakes the idle will go up because of the vacuum of the brake booster. It shouldn't go up as much as you're describing but that's probably related to the fact that your pedal is sinking which is the sign of a bad brake master cylinder.

If you can't figure out why the idle rises when you pump the brake pedal, you don't have the credentials to criticize any vehicle. Furthermore, you are driving a 16 year-old car. How many 1993 Cavaliers are still playing the roadways? How many of them are in mint condition after 16 years?

Run along now, it appears you're missing your Chevy as much as your Goodwrench technicians miss your weekly visits to fix it. Happy reunions and good riddance.

If you really loved Hondas as much as you think you do you would move to Japan to be as close as possible. I live in US right next door to CHEVY. LOL
To each his own.
And I know why it would go up slightly, but not up to nearly 2000 rpm like you are reving the engine or slapping the gas.

So far, that's the most comical piece of mental diarrhea I've read today!

spin, when you press the brake pedal, does is slowly go to the floor or does t go straight to the floor? if it fades its a bad primary seal in your master cylinder and you need to replace it. If your pedal goes right to the floor, then its a bad booster.
