Most likely you have an H23A1, since you mentioned that you have Si lude.

All USDM Si models came with H23 from the factory.

There might be a small possibility that the previous owner swapped the motor, but there is just a small percent chance of that. Post some pics of the engine, we can tell you exactly what you have.

shouldn't you just have the job order the water pump? if you're too nervous to order it, how are you going to put it on? lol

If you're going to replace the water pump... might as well replace the timing belt and balancer belt

Do you feel any resistance when you move the temp control lever to heat? The rod that opens the valve may have come out of place. Could have happened while at the mechanic if they set it to heat when they were bleeding the air out of the cooling system.

Off topic... but $1,100 to replace the radiator and that leaking pipe in your other thread? You got ripped off. Hard. I wonder how the mechanic was able to tell that the blades were "deteriorating" if he didn't have to remove the pump - assuming that pipe could indeed be replaced without doing so.

^because that's what h23's look like. All of the engines available have different valve covers.

Also it says H23 on the engine stamp area. If you are wondering where that is, look at the engine, find the exhaust manifold and look left. But with how dirty that engine bay is...probably won't see it.

Can you maybe type a little slower and throw in some punctuation here and there? Your posts are hard to follow
