projector retrofitters

for those of you 4th gen preluders, what projectors did you retrofit into your headlight. i notice we have a very limited amount of space to fit these projectors. any tips, comments, suggestions, etc? and where did you buy your projectors from?

im looking for QUALITY. you can compare the quality of a good valeo hid projector to those projector headlights on ebay. crappy projector headlights from ebay are ugly and the projectors are very poor quality and not meant for HID optics and dont fit d2s hid bulbs either. ide rather leave my jdm's alone then retrofit those cheap ebay projectors in my headlights.

Don't use 90mm size projectors!!! My projectors already cracked the inside headlamps housing because they were squeezed in so tight. I'm gonna have to take everything apart and redo it all ... which is a pain in the ass.

I suggest using 60mm projector sizes... they will fit perfectly.

right now i have on valeo ece off an audi s4, great projector for the jdm headlights. Alot of output and sharp cutoff. Its small enough so you wont have any problem putting it on. Theres still enough space where you can attach a shroud to it and have the projector sit a little farther back from the lense where it wont touches it. im working on my second retro, having it black out with the same projectors, ill have pics up when its done.

awesome. i thought the 60mm were too big, i guess i got it confused with the 90mm. then i guess 60mm is the route i will take. i was looking to get the s2k, tsx, or bmw m3 projectors cuz i love how they look. leaning more towards s2k tho. where did you get your projectors?

hmm maybe but not until i finish up this one n sell my old one first.

MidNiteMysT - i just bought mine today off protocold on hidplanet, he has em for 170 shipped with adapter n shroud (decent price)
the valeo are the ones i find that barely fit onto our housing perfectly, i tried it with the a6 audi which fit but not as good as the valeos.
