Projector headlights questions/problems

I have this headlights in my car... i like the look but hate the low lighting and the aiming setup... thay say not for hid but i have them with hid...

i was told that some have a black housing or something like that that prevents the light come out, and that thing can be removed in some headlights.

i'm planing to open the headlight and see if i can remove that thing... suggestions?

one of my halo rings is not lighting anymore, i think it is damaged, duh!

im planing to make the ring un pcb and put leds on it, but I dont know how to cover the leds or the pcb, that it can look like a "ring" from near distances.
suggestions?

if i open the headlights, maybe the same sealant can be used... but in case that it can be used again, what can i use? silicone?

Opening the head light and taking anything out won't improve the light output. Having the black housing has nothing to do with the amount of light your getting. Those are just cheap poorly designed headlights.

i retrofit them...

@kingspade0311
mine work well... take a look at the plug colors... black for ground and the other go in the other side... that was one of my problems with the hid...

@highonludes
i fugured out why i dont have a good light output in hidplanet.com
it's safe... as its a projector and help to not blind ppl... but the halogen reflector is different from the hid reflectors... because of the bulb filament...

halogen filament goes ---
that makes the reflector narow and "large"

hid filament goes |
the reflector is wide and "short"
