projection headlight question

i was looking at my friends new headlights and was wondering where r the bulbs. there was two wires running out the back and some wiring and circuits, where the bulbs would normally be. do you have to take the unit apart to get at the bulbs and if so do they use the same bulbs as the factory headlights?

Is this the kind of healights you are talking about?

My friend has these on his accord. I can ask him and find out. I'm sure they are the same.
